
About Us
We began our operations as Cypress Fitness on January 1, 2018. Our facility has been in place for a number of years and had its modest beginnings as an olympic lifting gym paired with a grappling studio. As time evolved the facility became a Crossfit affiliate operating as Crossfit Meltdown. A few years later, the Crossfit affiliation was dropped and the facility operated as The Box HPT. In late 2017, the gym was sold and re-opened with new management, ownership and coaches.
Cypress Fitness hails as a functional fitness training facility committed to taking everyday people and turning them into athletes. Our exercise regimen provides a total body workout and incorporates cardio with various elements of strength training, olympic weightlifting, and gymnastics. Our program is designed to increase mobility, strength, endurance, and flexibility. We are not a quick weight loss program although weight loss is a side benefit and nutritional advice and programs are available. Our workouts are part boot camp, part weightlifting, part Crossfit, part gymnastics, part circuit training and are constantly varied to provide a challenging, exhausting and rewarding experience.

We aren't your ordinary gym. We don't have treadmills, ellipticals, bicycles, weight machines, or stair masters. You won't find mirrors, saunas, a pool or juice bar. There's no clanging of metal plates, no big screen TVs, or a multitude of exercise classes such as Body Pump, Zumba, etc. Instead what you'll find is barbells and free weights, a pull-up rig, gymnastics rings, wall balls, dumb bells, climbing ropes, ab mats, kettle bells, boxes, weightlifting platforms, squat racks and the like. Our floors are matted and our building has no air - we have 2 roll-up doors and 4 shop fans that move air around. Our walls are rough and painted, it gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter. But, effort never ends.

Who We Are
We are a community of like minded folks trying to change our lives to become healthier. That means, among other things , we must get leaner, stronger, more flexible and increase our endurance. We have a few Crossfitters (not hardcore ones) in the group and we encourage and train all of you to enter competitions if you want. So while there are a few athletes in the group, by and large we're just a community of average people looking to get stronger, leaner, and more mobile. We range in age from 15-60+ which shows you're neither too young nor too old to get fit. We also deal with all sorts of physical and health issues, we've helped folks get their diabetes under better control, we've worked around knee, shoulder, back, neck, and even open heart surgeries !! You won't find any lunkheads or bicep pumpers here, you won't find lulu lemon types afraid to get sweaty. No alphas, no screaming and cursing, no roid ragers . Oddly enough the majority (65%+) of our members are WOMEN ( ironic because most women don't do this because they say they are afraid they will get bulky - they don't!) .
Where Are We?

We are located in a small warehouse park tucked off of Dundee Road just north of 290 and Barker Cypress . We are conveniently located to a number of large communities within just a few miles radius including Coles Crossing, Fairfield, CopperField, Stonegate, Towne Lake.
